EcoVadis Platinum
We’re proud to announce that Leomil has been awarded the prestigious EcoVadis Platinum rating, placing us among the top 1% of member companies worldwide for sustainability performance.
What is EcoVadis?
EcoVadis is the world’s leading sustainability ratings platform, providing trusted insights that help companies worldwide reduce risk, improve performance, and drive positive impact for people and the planet.
Each company is assessed across four key areas:
- Environment
- Labour & Human Rights
- Ethics
- Sustainable Procurement
The Platinum Medal represents the highest distinction, awarded only to the top 1% of all rated companies. Leomil proudly stands as the first licensed footwear player worldwide to achieve this renowned distinction.
What does it mean for you?
With EcoVadis Platinum, Leomil sets a new benchmark in sustainability and proves that every product you deliver comes from a trusted, responsible, and forward-thinking partner. Looking ahead, we remain dedicated to raising the bar, driving continuous improvement, and creating long-term value for our partners, our people, and the planet.
Sustainability strategy
Our goal is to minimise our environmental impact and carbon footprint by incorporating sustainability into our design processes. We strive for carbon-neutral operations while prioritising the well-being of our employees, fostering responsible practices in our supply chain, and contributing positively to society.
We captured this ambition in our 4 C strategy:
Care
We focus on all people around us. In 2025, we initiate the process to obtain the Great Place to Work certificate and continue supporting charities promoting good mental health, fighting poverty and enhancing quality education.
eCodesign
By focusing on recycled and renewable materials, we aim to reduce the environmental impact of our product designs with 25% by 2035 and replace 100% of our packaging materials with recycled or recyclable materials by 2030.
Climate
We only use renewable electricity and aim for 100% net-zero emissions for both our scope 1 and 2 by 2030. Furthermore, we will reduce the carbon footprint of our product designs (as our most important scope 3-emission) with 30% by 2035.
Social Compliance
We aspire to ensure a responsible supply chain with respect for social rights and the environment and want all our Tiers 1 suppliers and our nominated Tier 2 suppliers to be third-party audited by 2030.
Did you know that we support various social projects, such as PsychoseNet, YouthStart, Goods to Give and many more?
Leomil proudly achieved the EcoVadis Platinum Medal, the highest recognition from the world’s leading sustainability rating platform. This prestigious award places us in the top 1% of all EcoVadis-certified companies worldwide and highlights our unwavering commitment to creating a more sustainable future.
To further strengthen this approach, we selected the Great Place To Work Trust Model as our framework and in 2025, we will initiate the process to achieve the Great Place To Work certificate.
In addition to our internal focus, we are dedicated to supporting those in need within our communities. We concentrate our efforts on three key areas: mental well-being, poverty alleviation, and quality education. We support charity organizations working in these areas through financial aid and product donations.
Social Compliance
Our responsibility extends beyond our own operations; we also require our suppliers to respect social and environmental standards.
We want to encourage our supply chain to join reliable, third-party compliance systems such as BSCI, SMETA and OEKO-TEX. Our goal is to establish long-term, positive relationships with suppliers who are committed to these standards.
By 2030, we aim for all our Tier 1 suppliers (direct suppliers) and nominated Tier 2 suppliers (indirect suppliers whom we select ourselves because they provide essential materials to our direct suppliers) to join one of the above-mentioned systems.
Instead of ending relationships with suppliers who are hesitant to join, we will focus on motivating and assisting them to meet our standards. This approach helps ensure sustainable and positive outcomes for everyone involved, including the employees within the supply chain.
